This book has been written to familiarise the clarinettist with the various rhythms and phrasings encountered in modern music. Each study deals with a particular aspect of rhythmic playing ranging from Jazz and Rock to modern Classical interpretation. They are of short to moderate lenght in order to maximise concentration on style. They are compiled in order of difficulty. Early to advanced grades.

This album of Easy Studies for Saxophone is a 'user friendly' introduction to Jazz and Rock phrasing at an elementary level. The book is divided into two sections Jazz and Rock. In the Jazz pieces all quavers are to be played in swing time. In the Rock pieces they are as written (straight). This book can be used as an ideal primer for the more advanced '20 Modern Studies' (UE18820) also in this series.
