Collection-To mark their Silver Jubilee the King's Singers have brought together a collection of some of the best-loved arrangements written for them over the last 24 years. Of the songs most often requested here are twelve which adapt most easily for mixed choirs without losing the flavor of the original King's Singers versions.

c-Moll-Cherubini's Requiem in C minor for SATB and Orchestra.Cherubini’s Requiem in C minor for mixed choir (without vocal soloists) and orchestra which is presented here in a critical new edition is among the most significant contributions to this genre in the 19th century. It was composed in Paris in 1816 and within a short time it became well known. Musicians such as Beethoven Schumann and Brahms held it in high esteem because of the work’s superior compositional construction orchestration mastery of form and the balance in proportion between text and music.

c-Moll-Mozart's Missa in C for SATB.The Mass in C minor K. 427 Mozart's 'Great Mass' remaines a torso - a circumstance which is extremely regrettable especially given the monumentality of this work. Mozart finished only the Kyrie Gloria Sanctus 'Osanna' and Benedictus of the Mass. For two movements from the Credo he only completed sketches without instrumentation. In March 1785 Mozart arranged Kyrie and Gloria supplemented by a tenor and a soprano aria for the Italian oratorio 'Davide penitente'. In his arrangement of the Mass in c minor Richard Maunder added Creed wind and brass instruments to the Credo sketches.

Chaque été, la cathédrale de Chichester dans le Sussex mobilise ses voisines de Winchester et de Salisbury pour l'un des plus grands festivals de musique religieuse de Grande-Bretagne : le Southern Cathedral's Festival. Pour l'édition de 1965, on a commandé une composition à Leonard Bernstein - les Chichester Psalms, devenus très populaires entretemps. Cette oeuvre en trois parties se base sur des psaumes hébraïques, que Bernstein a réuni lui-même pour en souligner le caractère liturgique. L'année de la création des Chichester Psalms, Bernstein était en congé sabbatique d'un an de son poste au New York Philharmonic Orchestra, une occasion qu'il a utilisée pour composer. Il raconte : « À l'époque, je n'ai composé pendant un an quasiment que de la dodécaphonie, et des choses encore plus expérimentales. J'étais heureux de faire émerger ces nouvelles sonorités ; mais après environ six mois de travail, j'ai tout jeté. Ce n'était pas ma musique, ce n'était pas sincère.
