For massed unison voices organ piano and percussion with optional SATB chorus.All shall be Amen and Alleluia was commissioned as the concluding piece for a concert in Princeton University Chapel New Jersey onApril 29 2009 to be sung by a large chorus of 500 voices. It was written to follow a performance of Son of God Mass by the same composer sung by a smaller choral group.

Were You There? was expertly composed by James Whitbourn for SATB Chorus and Organ. The piece was written for Stephen Cleobury and the Choir of King's College Cambridge.British composerand conductor James Whitbourn had an international reputation as a composer from the start of his career as a Programme maker at the BBC; during his time there he produced many award-wining programmes anddeveloped a style that gave him a direct connection with an audience.This well accomplished composer has received many awards for his work including among others two Grammy nominations and a Royal Television SocietyAward.In the June 2015 edition of 'Sunday by Sunday' Were You There? is described as 'effective atmospheric and not too difficult.' 

Annelies is the first adaptation of the diary of Anne Frank into a large-scale choral work. It brings to life the diary written by Annelies Marie Frank between 1942 and 1944 when she and her family hid in the backof an Amsterdam warehouse. Scored for Soprano soloist and SATB chorus with Piano reduction this vocal score can be used for both the chamber and orchestral versions of the work.

James Whitbourn's arrangement of the classic carol Silent Night is for Children's Voices optional SATB Choir and Piano. A performance of the entire work lasts around 4 minutes.A review in the September 2016 issue of Organist's Review called this piece 'approachable and hugely effective. There is a piano accompaniment quite independent in places which adds to the joy.'

James Whitbourn's Ada is a work for SATB Choir with Piano Accompaniment commissioned by Lord Lytton to mark the 200th anniversary of Ada Lovelace the mathematician who is widely regarded as the firstcomputer programmer. This is the Vocal Score and the work lasts around 5 minutes.

Composed for the Eucharist of Christmas Night 2004 at the Cathedral Church of Christ and the Blessed Virgin Mary Rochester in the year of the 1400th anniversary of the cathedral's foundation.Missa Carolae wascommissioned for Rochester Cathedral and first performed there on 24 December 2004 by the Rochester Cathedral Choirs directed by Roger Sayer.Missa Carolæ was written for the 1400th anniversary of Rochester Cathedral thesecond oldest cathedral in England. Performances there begin with a ceremonial procession that follows the movement of a boy chorister accompanied by pipe and drum from the High Altar to a large crib placed in the Nave gathering the choirs (singing from different parts of the cathedral) and principal clergy in the course of the procession. The work though not literally for dancing is intended to invoke a dance-like spirit which is true to theorigin of the carol as a simple dance form. The choir parts should be very well known so that the singers can sing with the whole of their bodies and not just their voices. It is suitable for liturgical or concert use.

POD-James Whitbourn's Agnus Dei From Missa Carolae. Missa Carolae was commissioned by Rochester Cathedral the second oldest cathedral in England to mark the 1400th anniversary ofits foundation. It was first performed there on 24 December 2004 by the Rochester Cathedral Choirs Andy Findon (Fife) the Locke Brass Consort Edmund Aldhouse (Organ) Joby Burgess and Catherine Ring (Percussion) directed byRoger Sayer. The work is intended to invoke a dance-like spirit which is true to the origin of the carol as a simple dance form. The choir parts should be very well-known so that the singers can sing with the whole oftheir bodies and not just their voices. This version is a reduced scoring for SATB (unchanged) with Organ and optional Piccolo and also acts as the vocal score to the full version. In this scoring the Piccolo adds to theeffectiveness of the piece. In either scoring the Piccolo may be replaced with a Flute Fife or even a more rustic Pipe as was used at the first performance. The original scoring for SATB with Piccolo Brass (3 Trumpetsand 3 Trombones) Percussion (2 players) and Organ accompaniment is the preferred version. The Piccolo part (CH79893-01) is common toboth scorings and is available on sale or hire with the full version. The Organ accompaniment in this score is for performance of the version for SATB Piccolo and Organ only. An A4 spiral-bound version of this score may bepreferable for the organist (CH79893-02). The separate Organ part - available on hire - must be used for the version with instruments.An ad lib. part for the congregation (CH70961 pack of 50) is incorporated into the fullscoring of Missa Carolae.
