Maki Maria Matsuoka, soprano, born in Japan, graduated in singing specializing in the German lieder repertoire at the Kunitachi College of Music in Tokyo under the guidance of Michiaki Masuda. She moved to Italy in 1997 and studied with Gabriella Tucci. In 2007 she graduated in Singing at the Conservatory L. Perosi of Campobasso under the guidance of Barbara Lazotti, and with her she obtained a second level degree in singing in chamber music at the Conservatory L. Refice of Frosinone in 2010. She specialized with Nicoletta Panni Mozart repertoire, Blandine de Saint Sauver French chamber repertoire and Giancarlo Simonacci John Cage and the second Viennese school. You won 1st prize at the 8th International Competition of Romanza da Salotto Pier Adolfo Tirindelli in Conegliano, and with the same repertoire you recorded the CD La Romanza Italiana in 2009 with the pianist Marina Mezzina, published in Japan . You carry out an intense concert activity as a soloist in Italy and abroad with numerous chamber, orchestral and choral ensembles with a wide repertoire ranging from baroque to contemporary music. She performed as a soloist in the 2009 and 2012 tours with the Johann Strauss Ensemble of the Vienna Symphony Der Wiener Symphoniker with two programs of the Viennese Operettas, collaborating with Johannes Wildner and Anton Sorokow, internationally renowned violinists-conductors. In 2011 with the String Quintet of the Teatro dellOpera in Rome he recorded Roberto Di Girolamos disc Classical Contemporary Emotions, published by Flipper Music in 2013. Also by Roberto Di Girolamo, he recorded the Oratorio Via Crucis In 2016 and Caribbean Mood in 2020 published by Italian Way Music. In 2017 and 2018 he participated as a soloist in the Italian First Performance and the replica of John Cages composition for Ballet Four Walls together with the pianist Giancarlo Simonacci and the choreographer Elisabetta Minutoli, produced by the Roma Tre Orchestra.
