Florida composer Charles Thatcher arranges the Te Deum., Tonus Simplex. Here he has created a dialogue between cantors and chorus, the assembly participates with the easily repeated Latin response Te Deum laudamus. The choral writing creatively supports the assembly part and adds harmonic contrast beneath the cantor verses.

Here is a truly grand setting of this treasured hymn in an accessible arrangement by Florida-based composer and arranger Charles Thatcher. The festive brass writing heightens this stirring work, however, in the absence of these instruments, cue notes are provided in the organ part to allow a full performance realization. The final verse concludes just as you would wish—with full forces of choir, assembly, and a soaring descant that incorporates the Latin Te Deum text. Everyone will appreciate this one!
