Saturn, the Bringer of Old Age

Les planètes, à l'origine d'une suite pour orchestre, a été composée entre 1914 et 1916 par Gustav Holst. Holst s'est toujours intéressé à l'astrologie et par conséquent a été inspiré de prendre les sept planètes du système solaire pour créer une suite. Thèmes tels que ' Mars, le porteur de guerre ' et ' Vénus, le porteur de paix ' sont d'une part la preuve que Gustav Holst partiellement a également examiné les caractéristiques mythologiques des dieux et déesses. D'autre part, ces thèmes montrent que 'The Planets' a été créé en vertu de l'impression de la seconde guerre mondiale. Cette édition de ' The Planets ' est une édition pour Piano solo. L'éditeur Katsuma Nakajima définie une valeur élevée sur le sentiment de la puissance orchestrale dans l'édition pour Piano ainsi.
