Work for Clarinet, Violin, Cello and Piano. The composer writes: VOIX INTERIEURES (1990-92). The title has a double reference: to the 'inner voices' of the mind, expressing our (hardly conscious) impulses, feelings, dreams and to the 'inner voices' of the music in the sense of internal parts and relations. Thus the title points to the obscure reflections of the ones in the others. During the piece, there is a gradual transformation of the internal parts, such as interval patterns, sonorities and dynamics - running alongside the easily perceptible expansion of register. The music is so to say 'turned inside out'.

Windgeboren belongs to a group of works in which musical conceptions are nourished by the wind as a gathering metaphor of the perceptible but invisible natural forces behind the music. In addition to this image a number of other impressions have arisen during the process of composition which have to some extent left their mark on the three strongly contrasting movements, for example, wind and spirit are said to be expressed by the same word in Hebrew. The archangel Michael is portrayed as the weigher of souls in many wonderful Danish frescos. Saint Michael in the role of standard-bearer and soul leader performs in the offertorium of the Requiem Mass. He leads the souls toward clarity, the holy light, the tripartition: beginning - middle - conclusion; birth - life - death; intonation - passage - hymn. This work is dedicated to Die Michaelstrompeter and Markus Stockhausen.

Triptykon / Triptych for Organ solo by Niels Rosing-Schow. Triptych is written for the celebration of the 500th anniversary of the Reformation in 2017, commissioned by The Danish Society of Organists and Cantors. From the preface: The three movements of the work are musical images or situations, with the middle one, Toccata, as its axis. The latter is intended as an image of the dispute between Luther and the ecclesiastical authorities, which is the origin of the Reformation. Two of Luther's Reformation Hymns are more or less palpably present in the music. The other two movements can be regarded as 'before' and 'after'. The first, Exordium, is a 'fluid' situation, but also a preparation, which gradually accumulates a suspense pointing towards the discharge of energy of the Toccata. The third movement, Hymn, represents a serene situation, where a wealth of hymnal fragments grows out of an underlying structure, repeated several times(technically speaking, a passacaglia). Includes two player's scores. Niels Rosing-Schow's Ut-Sons (Sea Songs) for Guitar Duo (2016). Commissioned by 'OpenDays Festival' for the guitar duo Per Dybro Sorensen and Michael Norman. In between these easily recognizable musical elements are established 'musical rooms', which are different versions of a common harmonic musical material. The quasi-canonical passages played by the two guitarists are mirroring each other without ever being totally identical, thus reflecting thesubtle broken symmetries of the building.
