(+)
Performance Edition for Violin and Piano-At the age of 19 Mozart wrote a series of violin concertos that marked his coming of age as a composer of orchestral music. Now a part of the standard repertoire these works convey the composer's uniquely sensual brand of melody. This volume comprises all five works:Violin Concerto No. 1 in B-flat majorViolin Concerto No. 2 in D majorViolin Concerto No. 3 in G majorViolin Concerto No. 4 in D majorViolin Concerto No. 5 in A majorThis practice and performance edition is the first to combine all of these pieces in a single low-cost Piano reduction version with a separate and removable 64-page solo violin score. Reproduced from earlyauthoritative editions this volume is an essential addition to the collections of intermediate and advanced musicians.Reprint of early authoritative editions.

for Violin and Orchestra-Mozart composed the majority of his works for solo String Instruments and Orchestra during the years 1773 to 1779. Especially important in this context are the years 1773 and 1775 which witnessed the creation of the five concertos for Violin and Orchestra as well as several single movements for the same scoring. The reasons for this flourish of activity in this domain lie partly in the fact that Mozart who still occupied the post of concertmaster to the Prince-Archbishop was either obliged or inspired to provide such works for special occasions during this long period spent in Salzburg. But another reason was certainly the possibility of experimenting withall the new compositional techniques acquired during his third trip to Italy and his stay of several months in Vienna from July to September 1773.The Piano reduction of Mozart?s G Major Violin Concerto is easier to play uncluttered and practical with page turns where you need them and where necessary fold-out pages. The solo part gives players the critical Urtext of the New Mozart Edition. The tutti passages are all presented in normal size print for players wanting to perform these sections with the first Violins. An ossia has been included in small print for the last four measures before the first solo passage to allow for the transition to the solo section.A prepared performance part is also included with bowings fingerings and performance practice comments. An additional brochure is included with todays most performed cadenzas ?Eingänge? and fermata embellishments by Eugène Ysaÿe Leopold Auer Sam Franko and Martin Wulfhorst. This collection offers players a spectrum of styles available in no other publication.Urtext of the New Mozart EditionFull score and parts (BA4865) Violin and Piano reduction (BA4865-90) and study score format 22.5 x 16.5cm (TP272) available for sale.

Arrangeur: Cho-Liang Lin. Over the wonderfully enjoyably years of conducting, there have been so many fine encounters with the Mozart Violin Concertos - mostly with very gifted players like Menuhin, Oistrakh, Stern and, more recently, Cho-Liang (Jimmy) Lin. There have, however, been instances (only a few, I'm pleased to say) when I've come, in the performances, to dread the onslaught of those cadenzas, which sound like a send up of Paganini, or belong to the wrong century with a plethora of double-stopping lasting too long, venturing into tonalities Mozart would not have recognized. After several performances with Jimmy came a request from him for suitable cadenzas that showed off the solo violin while commenting on Mozart's music he had just played. They worked, and Sony asked us to record them all and, with the welcome inclusion of Jaime Laredo, all the rest of Mozart's violin and orchestra repertoire. This led to in an invitation from Schott to have the cadenzas published, and this is the result. / Classique / Recueil / Violon

(+)
Written in the year 1775, Mozart's lively violin concerti manifest the young composer's astonishing maturity and command of his craft. An incredible fluency of musical speech ? richness of texture and sheer beauty of melodic line pervade this music (Veims, The Concertos). Indeed, the concerti are the composer's earliest compositions that have maintained a secure position in the world's repertoire. Also a staple of the concert hall is the Sinfonia Concertante, K.364, composed in 1779, and scored for violin, viola, and orchestra. Undoubtedly the most significant work Mozart composed that year, the piece is distinguished by its symphonic sweep, advanced harmonies, and the beautiful slow movement, among Mozart's most moving creations. Now all six masterpieces are available in this convenient, inexpensive edition.

Performed by Mario Hossen violin Accompaniment: Plovdiv Chamber Orchestra Conductor: Nayden Todorov Mozart's third violin concerto KV216 sometimes called the 'Strassburg' for a 'Strassburger' tune in its Rondo is scored for a rather simple chamber-sized orchestra. The Adagio of this concerto must be the most sublime movement in any of his violin concerti and one of the most beautiful and quintessentially Mozartian in his entire oeuvre. Perhaps the most memorable of his five violin concerti it is quintessential Mozart and an indispensable addition to any serious violinist's repertoire. Includes a high-quality printed music score with informative liner notes and a compactdisc containing a complete stereo version with soloist then a second version in full stereo of the orchestral accompaniment minus the soloist.

The last of the authentic Violin concertos Concerto No. 5 in A major K. 219. With this piece Mozart had managed to create something very nearly in line with the instrumental concerto of the next century. Though the piece itself is clearly within the Classical chamber concerto tradition its scale and the degree of its technical demands mark the work as something new for the violin. A reprint of the original edition arranged for Violin and Piano.
