The Easy Concert Pieces series for alto saxophone and piano provide easy to intermediate pieces from the Renaissance to the modern era for music lessons, concert performances or private music-making. The volumes with accompanying CD add to the not very extensive repertoire of performance pieces for saxophone. They were carefully selected according to technical and musical requirements and are arranged in three volumes according to their level of difficulty. All pieces are included on the accompanying CD as demo and play-along versions (piano accompaniment). The piano part contained in the volume is very easy so that it can even be played by a pupil, e.g. at a music school concert. Volume 1 (ED 22553) contains easy pieces which mainly range from d' to c''', occasionally even to d'''. The keys range from C to D major or the respective minor keys. This volume contains works by Charpentier, Vivaldi, Handel, Bach, Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Smetana, Pütz, Moser, and others. Volume 2 (ED 22554) contains intermediate pieces ranging from c' to e''', with unusual metres and demisemiquavers appearing occasionally. 'Klassik für Kinder' wants to introduce clarinet pupils to the beauty of Baroque, Classical and Romantic concert literature. Cautiously, not only original clarinet literature was taken up, but catchy tunes and themes from the opera (The Freeshooter, The Magic Flute and others) and the concert hall (Four Seasons, Capriccio Italy, Reverie and others) were used as well. The edition starts with a piece from the Renaissance period, followed by the great composers of the Baroque, European Classical and Romantic eras and completed by several discoveries off the common concert programmes (Blasius, Reinagel, Sullivan). The Easy Concert Pieces series presents easy to intermediate pieces for trumpet with piano accompaniment. Pieces typical of their era and suitable for auditions, public performance, competitions or examinations are ordered according to level of difficulty in three volumes. These Easy Concert Pieces also provide appealing additional material for use in trumpet lessons. All the pieces are recorded on the CD included with each book, both in full and playback versions (piano accompaniment). Volume 1 (ED 22555) contains very easy to easy pieces with a range up to written c?, with d? appearing as a short top note in just a few pieces. Volume 2 contains easy to intermediate pieces with a range no higher than f?. Besides extending rhythmic scope and requiring a little more in terms of phrasing and articulation, these pieces will encourage further exploration of musical contrasts. Volume 3 is of medium difficulty and intended for players with a well-developed embouchure who can play notes up to written g?, though this note only appears as a short top note. Les recueils sont pensés comme des compléments aux méthodes de piano et sont particulièrement adaptés aux auditions dans les écoles de musique, aux examens et aux concours tels que Jugend musiziert. Le répertoire est varié et propose un grand choix de pièces baroques, classiques, romantiques et modernes. Le troisième volume s?adresse aux élèves d?un niveau avancé, qui veulent travailler l?expressivité de leur jeu et leur interprétation. Les pièces mettent en place certaines exigences au niveau de la fluidité du jeu, de la rythmique, de l?articulation et du phrasé, du jeu polyphonique (plusieurs voix sur une seule main) et de la différenciation des mouvements.
