The première of Leo Brouwer s Concierto de Benicassim took place at the Certamen Internacional de Guitarra Francisco Tárrega in Benicassim Spain on 31st August 2002 to mark the 150th anniversary of Tarrega s birth. Thesoloist was Gabriel Estarellas with the European Symphonic Orchestra conducted by Christian Florea.
