Le Concerto pour harpe et orchestre, dédié au harpiste et pédagogue français Pierre Jamet et créé par lui le 31 mars 1946 avec l'orchestre des Concerts Colonne sous la baguette de Paul Paray, n'est pas sans rappeler la Sonate pour harpe de Germaine Tailleferre. C'est un concertino de style léger, chaleureux et plein de surprises. À la première représentation par les Concerts Colonne, Henry Malherbe a déclaré qu'il s'agissait d'une œuvre « au sentiment délicat et animé » et que « Pierre Jamet, harpiste de renom, a accompli une belle réussite. » Pierre Jamet deviendra d'ailleurs professeur de harpe au Conservatoire de Paris deux années plus tard (c'est-à-dire en 1948). Toutefois, Decruck semble en être restée sur sa faim. En effet, dans sa partition définitive, elle déclare que le quatrième mouvement, une fughetta, devrait être coupée.
