(Flötensonaten - Band 1)-Johann Sebastian Bach's?Flute Sonatas - Volume 1?includes three sonatas for Flute and Piano accompaniment. Sontatas included are Flute Sonata No. 1 in B minor BWV1030 Flute Sonata No. 2 in E flat major BWV1031 and Flute Sonata No. 3 in A major BWV1032.

Trevor Wye (b. 1935) is an English flautist pedagogue and music editor who has been playing the flute for over 65 years. Despite not attending any conservatory or university he has held professorships at both theGuildhall School of Music and the RNCM. He has written several successful educational flute works and edited many more. The third volume of Wye’s Flute Duets contains six easy and tuneful Sonatas by the19th century composer and flautist Eugène Walkiers (1793-1866) taken from his opus 55. Walkiers is best remembered for his Flute duets trios and quartets compositions which are far superior to his solo works.

The set of sonatas that comprise his Opus No. 5 is Jean Baptiste Loeillet's last known work. This volume contains the opening half of this set (La Livre Premier) numbers 1-3 in flexible setting for Flute Oboe or Violin with Continuo. Originally written for Wind instruments but this fabuous realization and arrangement by Paul Everett allow for accurate renditions on any of the listed instruments. Suitable for players of grade 3 - 5 standard.
