Ave maris stella. A 5-minute uplifting piece for SATB and piano that uses the ancient latin hymn of praise to the Virgin Mary. The verses alternate between full choir and solo or duet passages, accompanied by lush, romantic harmonies. Composed for senior school choir but would suit church choirs around the world.

Die im Quellenmaterial berlieferten Auffhrungsdaten belegen, dass das Stck in Wien am 1. Februar der Jahre 1752 und 1754 in der ersten feierlichen Vesper zum Fest Mariae Lichtmess erklungen ist, wahrscheinlich in der Groen Hofburgkapelle. Das kurze, gefllige Stck lsst sich im konzertanten wie im gottesdienstlichen Rahmen (besonders zu Marienfesten und in der Vesper) verwenden, eignet sich aber auch gut fr den Bereich der Andacht.
