Cantata in two parts-In 1736 Handel composed ?Alexander?s Feast? or ?The Power of Musick? a two-part cantata based on John Dryden?s poem of the same name.In 1790 at the suggestion of Baron Gottfried van Swieten Mozart arranged this work using a German translation of the poem made by Karl Wilhelm Ramler in 1770. À la suggestion du baron Gottfried van Swieten, Mozart 1790 édité cette ode en l'honneur de sainte Cécile. Ce traitement était la traduction allemande du poème par Karl Wilhelm PeterRamler base de l'année 1770. Comme dans d'autres travaux d'usinage de Haendel Mozart Uminstrumentierung provoque un changement dans le caractère du son qui représente la composition dans la tradition du classicisme viennois.
