WOW! This is an impressive composition in so many ways. While it has overtones of Barber's Adagio for Strings, it stands alone on its own merit. So many times, "modern" compositions sacrifice lyrical, listenable works for something that few actually want to hear. As is the case with this work, the ENTIRE composition is excellent from start to finish. It is something that merits performance -- including, in church. Thanks SO MUCH for writing and posting this piece. It deserves as much performance as possible.
Il lavoro è molto bello, costruito bene, nel solco di quella tradizione tutta italiana degli adagi barocchi e tardo barocchi, su tutti Vivaldi, Albinoni e Marcello!!!L'unica pecca sta nel fatto che un siffatto lavoro andrebbe un attimo mixerato meglio per mettere in evidenza tutte le voci in canto, in questo caso inprimis la tromba, che qui quasi scompare inghiottita dalle sonorità degli archi! E tutto questo èun gran peccato perché va a scapito dell'ascolto! Basterebbe pochissimo lavoro in più, di rifinitura al mixer!!!!
