Ecrit le 2008-09-30 par Taco Sorgdrager
On november 16th 2008, a concert by the Morgana Madrigal Choir will take place in The Hague, The Netherlands. A major part of the program consists of choral works by conductor and composer Taco Sorgdrager. He has put to music 7 poems from "Das Stundenbuch" (The Book of Hours) by the Czech-German poet Rainer Maria Rilke. Five of those pieces will have their first public performance.
The other part of the program consists of English and French Renaissance music, with a focus on Thomas Morley abd Francois Regnard. The Regnard pieces each are performed in connection to musically related pieces by other French Renaissance composers, like Olrando di Lasso, Claudin de Sermisy, Josquin Desprez and Clemens non Papa.
