 | Marcello AppignaniMarcello Appignani lives and works in Rome where he first studied piano with M° Assunta Giordani and then Composition with M° Alessandro Forti.
He begins studying Composition at the Conservatory of Frosinone and composing music for theatrical works,
in some cases playing them live, on the piano or on the guitar, in several Italian theatres.
Extremely versatile in various musical kinds, he plays keyboards, guitars and drums.
As organist, pianist and guitarist he has taken part to some concerts, playing his own repertory.
His production includes many pieces composed for theatrical works, documentary, CD-Rom, exhibitions, films and short films among which "L'attesa" (“The waiting”) of Giuseppe La Rosa.
This short film has been finalist in the Giffoni Film Festival 2004, in the Next Generation of Miami 2004 and in the 45° Film Festival of Krakow.
He has recently composed the soundtrack for the drama "L'ultima notte di nozze” (“The last wedding’s night”)
played by the AlphaDrama group, text and direction of Daniela Ariano,
some music for the national television program Ballaro' and the soundtrack for the film "Armageddon - L'ultima leggenda" (“Armageddon – the last legend) by Flavio Merlino
and for the film "Cento di queste notti" (“One hundred of these nights”) by Giuseppe La Rosa.
