In 1988, he met by chance the prestigious concert pianist Magda BRARD whose pupil he became. She encouraged him to participate in the National Music Competition - section piano – at the academy of Nice where he won the first prise. During an audition at the foundation Senlis, Georgy CZIFFRA congratulated him on his mastery in the performance of a piece written by Chopin and having listenend to him playing one of his compositions, he incited him to continue to compose.
Richard RESSEGUIER's musical language is unique and full of nuances.
The musical theme developed on the question/answer mode represents the male and feminine principles by alternating dark and acute notes on the whole of the keyboard.
His intuitive writing uses processes other than those purely musical.:The thunder rolls or the rain splashes, the language of nature makes his music both descriptive and spontaneous.
On the advice of Magda BRARD, the composer decided to share his knowledge and became a piano teacher. His teaching experience influenced his approach of music. Over time, he became aware that imbibe the message of a music piece is fundamental to the interpretation desired by the composer. He also realized that a simple musical writing plays an essential role in the pleasure of the listening.. Considering that «the Other» is a key partner, the composer refined his writing style without loosing the emotional power of the melodies.
Richard RESSEGUIER has just put the last touch in a long-time project. In early 2016, several albums of his creations as well as a notebook of his scores will be available to the public.
