In his book "Scott Joplin and the Ragtime Era" Peter
Gammond doubts the authenticity of this piece as he
feels it is not typical of Joplin's style and that "at
best it suggests an experimental piece which he may
have discarded". It was published posthumously by
Stark.

Bars 40, 44, 48 and 53 RH I have set the notes of the
second chord in the idiosyncratic manner of the
original.
