Alphons Czibulka, Alfons Czibulka, or Czibulka Alfonz (1842 -- 1894) was an Austro-Hungarian military bandmaster, composer, pianist, and conductor. Czibulka was born in Szepesváralja (German: Kirchdrauf, Slovak: Spišské Podhradie), Szepesváralja district of Szepes (Slovak: Spiš), Upper Hungary. He first came to prominence from the age of 15 touring Southern Russia giving piano recitals and concerts. He eventually became musical director at the French Opera in Odessa and at the National Theatre in Innsbruck, in 1865 he was second under Franz von Suppe as conductor at the Carl Theatre in Vienna. He wrote over 300 works, especially Viennese-style dance music and marches.

The Regina Cćli or Regina Cśli ("Queen of Heaven"), is an ancient Latin Marian Hymn of the Christian Church. It is one of the four seasonal Marian antiphons of the Blessed Virgin Mary, prescribed to be sung or recited in the Liturgy of the Hours at the conclusion of the last of the hours to be prayed in common that day, typically night prayer (Compline or Vespers). The Regina Coeli is sung or recited in place of the Angelus during the Easter season, from Holy Saturday through the Saturday after Pentecost.

Although originally created for chorus (SATB) and Orchestra, I created this arrangement for Solo Acoustic Piano.
