The total duration of this music is around 2 minutes and 50 seconds. The theme is in the key of A major. The 2nd section has extensive use of arpeggios in the bottom voice. There is a modulation into the key of D major in the 3rd section; the music in this section features a lyrical melody, and there is nice contrary motion in bars 30 and 33.

Alastair Lewis is a native of The Republic of South Africa. He was born in the present-day capital of the kwazulu-natal province, Pietermaritzburg. In his youth he learnt the piano, and guitar. After his schooling he continued classical and jazz studies.
