Yes! You're right! The Canon is the narrative form par excellence. No need to agree or V IV-V or I - II - IV - V - I. The Canon is the harmonic form par excellence and what is ironic is that the name counterpoint! The narrative in literature revolves around a simple idea. In music, it's the same. Another wonderfully sonatist work of the Provencal pastoral. ---Your time is coming, Monsieur Jean, when posterity shall receive your work. I implore you: get some of these gems performed! Anyway you know how. Perhaps you could utilize your marvelous painting ability in a fit of Gesamtkunstwerk? Whatever the case: I love the controlled quality regarding the seams of this morceau; it contrasts with the concept of nomadic life. It is a narrative;
and your Erzahler technique (operatic) is stunningly innovative and profound.

According to the Provencal Pastoral by Antoine Maurel written in 1844 on the street Nau in Marseille [http://escolo.dou.miejour.fre e.fr/theatre/pastorale/pastora le.html]
The play tells of the pilgrimage to Bethlehem Provence, who for the occasion and since Saboly, an author of the seventeenth century, is located in the heart of a village home. All the characters find themselves in Bethlehem Maurel: Pistachié of the fada, the grinder who likes the bottle from the three old course and the angel.
