My dad, who went to be with our Heavenly Father, sang this many times with his beautiful baritone voice. We also played an audio of him singing it at his funeral. I have sung it in the past when my voice was higher rang and have been asked to sing it next Sunday so am downloading this lower version. It is a very touching song and one of my all time favorites.

I love this song! I found it years ago when my choir was young and inexperienced. It was perfect for us because I paired the sopranos and tenors with solo 1, and the altos and bases with solo 2. Thankfully I had a pianist that could play it. It took a while for my choir to learn the parts, but when we sang it, it was wonderful. Now it is one of our favorite songs! Thank you for making this amazing song available!

I was privileged to sing this hymn as a member of a small choir. We had 2 each sopranos, altos, tenors, and bases. I was one of the bases. We were in the back of the chapel instead of the front. We sang this as an anthem in mid-service. At the end of the service people in the congregation told us it was the most beautiful thing they had ever heard. They also wanted to know where the 'rest of the choir' went. We didn't know the answer to that question, but we did know one thing. While we were singing, our 8 voices were joined by many more. We could feel their presence, and we could hear them, but we could not see them. Many years later, I still remember that profound experience. For a few brief moments, the veil was very thin.
