This facsimile of an original by Francois Andre Danican Philidor is part of our French classical music collection. Edition : 1755. The solo parts of these quartets may be played on the oboe, flute or violin. This meticulously written work calls for three melodic instruments and a continuo bass, and mingles Italian, German and French styles. A work of quality, it is the only purely instrumental composition by one of the creator of the French opera-comique. Preface by the students of the CeFEdeM-Ile-de-France: terminology - phrasing - forms - ornamentation - instrumentation - the figures of the continuo bass. Four separate instrumental parts. Collection supervised by the musicologist Jean Saint-Arroman, professor at the Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique et de Danse of Paris and at the CEFEDEM Ile de France (Training Centre for Music Teachers). He is the author of the majority of our prefaces and has also been involved in library searches.
