Written for two-part choir with assembly in mind, this is just the right piece for those occasions when a message of hope is appropriate. Evocative of an early American folk hymn, the lyrical melody is paired with a flowing harmony line in the lower voice and effectively modulates up a whole step to the final verse, placing all voices firmly on the melody under a heavenly vocal descant on the Latin text Adoremus in aeternum. Smaller choirs will love this one.
