Adler's new Fanfare was composed in the Summer of 2008 for the Cincinnati University Youth Wind Ensemble, and premiered in March 2010 by that ensemble under the direction of Dr. Ann Porter. The majestic opening gives way to an extended interplay, which the composer has marked as happy and bouncy. impani is used sparingly, adding punctuation throughout, joining the ensemble for a rousing finale.
