An expansive organ duet based on the hymn tune DOWN AMPNEY. This Partita was commissioned for the 2009 Region III AGO convention in Tidewater, Virginia. The partita movements include an Andante espressivo, Allegretto, Adagio, and Alllegro maestoso. Each movement interprets a different stanza of the hymn text and each can stand on it's own. This piece may be used in either concert or in worship services.
