This arrangement cleverly combines two of the most popular Christmas carols into a seamless symphonic style composition. A perfect Christmas piece to challenge your students and delight your audience.
The arrangement strives to combine two of the most popular Christmas carols into one seamless piece. It is intended that this be done in a symphonic style that pays respect to each of the strengths of these wonderful carols. It is hoped that when you hear this arrangement that you might think that these carols were always meant to be together.Strive to bring across the sound of bells throughout the arrangement. Be careful of the ritard. going into the maestoso statement of Greensleeves. It has a tendency to "sneak up" on ensemble. As with all of my pieces for younger students, the tempo indicated is merely a guide. Adjust the tempo to fit the needs of your students. It has been my pleasure to have the opportunity to write this piece. I hope you and your students enjoy it and find it useful for your program.-Larry ClarkLakeland, FL. 2006.
