Published by Bill Malcolm (A0.786129).Peter Ritter (1768 - 1846) lived roughly contemporary with Beethoven but left a much smaller output. This overture, originally for piano, preceded a group of songs with a Chinese theme, although the music itself is strictly western. The sound bite is from measures 19 - 74. There is a charming fugue and a bright major ending. The parts, except for the flute, when printed two sided will yield accurate pagination for page turns.
