Composed by Saint Preux Langlade. Arranged by Leo Silva. Classical,Opera,Wedding. 3 pages. Published by MP Sheet Music (A0.506435).

During a stay in Poland, Saint-Preux composed what became his greatest success, the Concerto Pour Une Voix (Concert for One Voice). When Saint-Preux returned to France, René Boyer, head of the Fantasia label, convinced him to record his Concerto for a Voice. The piece was originally composed for trumpet and strings, however, Saint-Preux had heard French singer Danielle Licari rehearsing in another studio and ended up deciding to record it with her voice as the trumpet part, using a vocal technique similar to scat singing of jazz. The song, released on the DiscAZ label in 1969, boosted both his career and hers.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
