As a poet words are my thing and I got to put myself in the position of being an old man whose wife had passed away. What would he say? How would he feel?
This is what came out of that.
It has a definite country/folk feel to it and I keep thinking Willie Nelson would be the perfect performer for this one.
Very poignant and moving. A real tearjerker, but with a lot of hope.
Easily adapted to be sung as sung by the wife whose husband passed away as it is very general.
