After a an introduction with adapted harmonies, the melody is played on the pedals. The accompaniment is a repeated eighth-note ostinato with chord changes. This arrangement may be used as a prelude, or an introduction to the hymn and would be appropriate on Holy Trinity Sunday in the church calendar.
