Published by J Walker (A0.923397).A trip across America was the inspiration for this fun collection, though many of the scenarios could be applied to cities and landscapes elsewhere. As the train chugged across the country, there was a definite C major feel to the sound of the horn every time it passed a level crossing or met a freight train.
"Mountain Pass" is an unswung series of quavers. Later on, syncopation is introduced and then it returns to the slighty lazy feel of the opening. There are two rapid descending runs towards the end. .
