Concert Band - Level 3 - Digital Download

SKU: A0.965331

Composed by Irish Folk Song. Arranged by Colin P. Langille. Celtic,Contemporary,Folk. Score and parts. 42 pages. Flying Baton Publications #3467728. Published by Flying Baton Publications (A0.965331).

Rich, aleatoric arrangement of a traditional Irish folk song, which tells the sad tale of the loss of an ancient castle and sacred grove: the trees are cut down so the birds have no place left to nest. Wind and waves crash beneath mournful birdsong in accompaniment to this haunting melody. An independent piano part adds interest to an otherwise standard early-high school concert band instrumentation.
The accompanying audio file can give an idea of the tune, but the computer sequencer wasn't able to handle the aleatoric elements.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
