These 12 benediction and postlude combinations provide an easy transition from a closing prayer after a sermon or program to the congregation or audience being dismissed.
The songs are paired based on key to create a flowing sound while transitioning from the quiet and reverent "amen" of the benediction to the louder, bolder postlude. Each of the benedictions and postludes can also be used as stand-alone selections (be played without their "paired" counterpart) or mixed-and-matched with other songs in the collection. There are at least 3 songs in each of the 3 major keys represented: C, F, and G.
The benedictions (prayer responses) are all 1-page in length and the postludes range from 3 to 4 pages each. Most of these arrangements are new and not included in any other collections, however 4 of the postludes are included in other collections as indicated below. Holiday selections are also included: Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and even a patriotic hymn.
Each of the 12 postludes are also available separately with accompanying preview pages and audio samples. The benedictions are only available in this collection.
