Composed by Tim J Spencer. Broadway,Musical/Show. 8 pages. Tim J Spencer/Green Panda Music #49875. Published by Tim J Spencer/Green Panda Music (A0.866348).

'When The Dream is Gone' is taken from the musical 'Berlin' by British songwriter Tim J Spencer (PRS). In it the character Marietta and her husband Hans steal the child, Joshua, from the prison after the mother Elin has given birth. This is because Hans, the jailer, has been instructed by the State, to kill the boy at birth, which he cannot do. He and his wife decide the only way to save the child is to hide him and raise him as their own until they can tell Elin the truth. The MP3 is a demo by the composer. It is best suited to a Mezzo Soprano and Tenor but the female part could be sung by a soprano or alto instead. The song is taken from the Tim Spencer Songbook, a series of audition pieces for musical theatre performers. Green Panda Music | www.greenpandatheatre.co.uk | music@greenpandamusic.com.
