They can be played in any combination – as duet or trio, as quartet, or as string orchestra. There are parts for open strings only (arranged for both violin and cello) and for a lead part and accompaniment in first position. The lead and accompaniment parts include C# on the G string (third finger stretch) and, in one case, a C on the E string (fourth finger stretch).
