Having been born and raised in Hawai`i, this song was something that we sang every year. This arrangement starts with Hawai`i's state song, "Hawai`i Pono`i". Then it switches into high gear and the real fun begins. The gears switch again when it goes into 3/4 and you hear the birds chirping and the trade winds blow.
This is a good opener or encore for your group's Christimas recitals and I hope you enjoy playing it.
Scored for flute choir - 4 C, alto, and bass plus sleigh bells!. There are optional contrabass flute and upright string bass parts. There are 2-part divisis in Flute parts 1 through 4.
