Small Ensemble Alto Saxophone,Baritone Saxophone,Soprano Saxophone,Tenor Saxophone - Level 5 - Digital Download

SKU: A0.800686

By The Beatles. By John Lennon and Paul McCartney. Arranged by Court Mast. Baroque,Jazz,Pop,Rock. Score and parts. 27 pages. Court Mast #1900863. Published by Court Mast (A0.800686).

This sax quintet arrangement of the Beatles' Yesterday is a stand-alone feature for a jazz-band sax section with Soprano (SATTB). It starts fairly close to McCartney's simple chords, then moves into more colorful jazz voicings with variations in tempo while still keeping the melody accessible. All the parts are fun to play, with well-crafted moving lines and an ad lib solo for Alto. Just 3 minutes long, it's fairly difficult, with some upper-register notes in the tenors. An excellent change of pace for a jazz-band concert. Arranged by Court Mast (CourtMast.com).
