Published by Trevor Worff Adams (A0.1027289).Suite for Two Pianos is a largely experimental piece in which I employ harmonies, meters, and scales which I haven’t attempted previously. The first movement features some pentatonic melodic ideas juxtaposed against tight groupings of secundal and tertian chords. The second movement is an etude featuring the whole-tone scale. The third movement is a measure-by-measure build up upon a melody featuring an altered minor scale. Movement number four begins, attaca, as number thee closes, and serves as a small reprieve before number five. Number five is the final movement, which features a fast chromatic melody with planing harmony. This piece features one piano with four hands, and another with two, for a total of three players.
