A Raccoon’s Night Out is a musical suite for string quartet, with narration, that features two characters: a raccoon who is looking for somewhere to go on a story night, as well as a home owner who hears a noise and goes to try and stop a thief in their house. It features a range of music including some works by John Stepan Zamecnik who was famous for his ‘photoplay music’ he wrote for piano, organ and orchestra, for the silent movies.
