I wrote Desert Romance for Alto Recorder and Violin in 2022 on the occasion of my husband's birthday but did not publish it at that time. As part of that year's celebration, we spent a few days in the desert, which inspired the Middle Eastern sound of this Romance. The recorder part could also be played on flute or another C instrument that has a contrasting timbre to the violin. This is an unusual duet combination which I hope will be enjoyed as a recital/repertory piece. Practitioners of belly dance may also enjoy this as accompaniment to a veil dance or other lyrical dance segment.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters.
