Never Gonna Be Alone was written by Jacob Collier and Lizzy McAlpine, featuring John Mayer, and will be on Jacob’s Djesse vol. 4 album, released on February 29, 2024. This transcription primarily corresponds to the live acoustic version from the Blogothèque - "Take Away Show” video on YouTube (premiered Aug. 3, 2022) because we can clearly hear and see what is being played. Additional cross-referencing was made, and elements included from 1) BBC Front Row audio broadcast from Aug. 24, 2022, which reportedly was the first time that Jacob and Lizzy had ever performed it publicly together, and 2) Live at the Troubadour from Oct. 7, 2022, which was the first performance in front of a live audience, and the first time Jacob and Lizzy were joined by John Mayer. Additional live footage was also used to verify other additions and variations.
