My previous composition, "The Townmusicians" (based on Grimm's fable ) had been performed by Mount Vernon Music in front of throusand of children since its creation and recorded in three languages (score and parts available also at sheetmusicplus) .
"The Overtones" introduces the audience playfully to scales/modes using the imaginary world of "Overtonia" where we visit places like "The Dorian Sea", the capital "Ionia" or the Aeolian Mountains and many places more.
The piece had its premiere in 2021 and has been recorded in English and German.
The quartet consists of a clarinet (Bb), violin, viola and violoncello.
Narration is in English for this publication.
