Published by Krista Swider (A0.1371216).Halo is probably Beyonce's most loved song and I had a blast incorporating some original piano melodies as well as the vocal and base lines into two parts - violin and viola. I did my best to recreate some of the original driving rhythms of the bass line in the viola part, especially throughout the chorus, to capture a percussive feel. Both instruments have a turn at the melody, and the violin soars with some of Beyonce’s famous melismatic vocals over the viola part as it plays the piano line in the “bridge” part of the song. All parts are very manageable for sight reading at gigs and are bowed and provided with rehearsal letters and measure numbers.
