The songs chosen are old folk songs which have been re-worded to suit the children of today. The pictures tell the story and play an important role in helping to remember the song.
Children have small vocal ranges. This means that, when begin to sing, the best songs are those with only two or three notes. Gradually, we add songs with a wider note-span to extend the range of the child’s voice.
The rhythmic element of the songs has also been selected to help the children to sing accurately, to hear and understand the rhythmic patterns and eventually to identify them.
