Composed by Claudio Monteverdi. Arranged by Mike Lyons. Baroque,Renaissance. Score and parts. 39 pages. Lyons Music Services #3035641. Published by Lyons Music Services (A0.767140).

A setting for 8-part brass choir of Monteverdi's beautiful and moving part song, "Amor".

I recently discovered this as my choir is singing it in Rome in March 2017 and thought it might work on brass. The combination is a tad unusual, because it was originally for Canto, 2 Tenors and Bass with lute/string accompaniment, but the final result works really well.

Parts are supplied as follows:

Part 1 in Bb
Part 2 in Eb/F
Part 3 in Bb/C
Part 4 in Bb/C
Part 5 in Bb
Part 6 in Eb/F
Part 7 in Bb/C
Part 8 in Eb/C
