As performed by Jessica Darrow, the reggaeton hit reached #8 on the US Billboard Hot 100, and in this arranger's opinion, the driving rhythm and memorable melody also make for an excellent trumpet ensemble arrangement.
This arrangement is for 8 Bb trumpets, and is suitable for a group of trumpeters at different skill levels. The first 4 parts are fairly challenging (mainly with regard to rhythm), and the 1st part requires a number of high C's and Bb's. These parts carry most of the melodic lines and are intended to be approachable by a talented high school trumpeter. Parts 5-8 are easier and mainly accompaniment, but still include plenty of variety. They are intended to be approachable by an average high school trumpeter or a particularly gifted middle school trumpeter.
