By George B Chave. By Giuseppe Torelli. Arranged by George B Chave. Baroque,Chamber,Christmas,Classical,Easter. 13 pages. BrassMagicMusic.com #892552. Published by BrassMagicMusic.com (A0.1302943).This piccolo trumpet classic is arranged here for brass quintet: Piccolo Trumpet (optional C-Trumpet part included); B-flat Trumpet (optional C-Trumpet part included); Horn; Trombone; and Tuba. This makes a great Christmas or Easter brass feature, or a fantastic companion piece to the Canadian Brass arrangement of Piazzolla's Libertango (same instrumentation). A slow five measure introduction is followed immediately by the lively third movement. The B-flat Trumpet part and Horn part are definitely challenging, but well within the wheelhouse of most college players. The trombone has a high b-flat, but is otherwise not technically demanding and the tuba part is easily manageable.
