Composed by Johann Sebastian Bach. Arranged by Joel Jacklich (ASCAP). Baroque. Score and parts. 108 pages. Joel Jacklich #5293067. Published by Joel Jacklich (A0.723149).

Bach's Brandenburg Concerto No. 6 in B-flat for Two Solo Violas accompanied by modern string orchestra, substituting violins for Bach's original gambas.  The violin parts occasionally are written an octave higher than the original gamba parts because the gamba's range extends below that of the violin.  In those places, parentheses are placed around the notes that have been transposed up an octave.  Page turns have been carefully worked out in the violins, viola, bass, and harpsichord parts.  The combined concertino/ripieno cello part allows the resting ripieno player to turn pages for the concertino soloist.
